Boast & Drive - About

 About the Creators

Mark and Joe have a shared interest in all things squash. Mark imagined Boast & Drive while self-isolating in his loft during a time when all you can do is dream about playing squash. Mark and Joe set out to fine tune Boast & Drive by putting their creative skills to the test. They had a lot of fun developing and playing the game....we won’t mention who won the most matches! (Joe did.)

Joe Russell

Originally from England, Joe moved to the US in 2003 to pursue a career in coaching squash. He still loves coaching and puts in many hours teaching and organizing squash events in Cleveland, Ohio. Joe is the tournament director of the PSA Cleveland Classic, a 50K women’s pro event. Joe has a love for art and design and music. Fortunately for him, Cleveland has one of the best art museums in the country and is home to the Rock & Roll hall of fame!

Mark Anderson

Mark is not as good at squash. Over the years, he’s enjoyed playing in amateur tournaments and generally making a nuisance of himself around the squash courts. Gradually, this has extended off court where he’s involved himself with the promotion of squash events in Cleveland. He’s the promoter of the PSA Cleveland Skating Club Open, a 30K men’s pro event. Mark’s previous idea was pro squash trading cards, which tells you everything you need to know about his interests.
